After School Club - Tungina village
This is our newest initiative! To facilitate the relocation of the after-school club (previously held outside a private home) to a better learning environment with space and light, AACEPT has funded the installation of electricity at the All Saints Church in Tungina Village, Kuloro.
Held in the church, the after-school club is attended by approximately 60 children. In 2021, some of the AACEPT committee and friends also ran a 6-week youth club for 3+ year olds where children and young people would play, sing, eat and learn.
All of the children and the entire community are overwhelmed by what we have been able to bring to this small, impoverished area.
AACEPT are keen to share our experiences of The Gambia and the wonderful people with others. Why not click the 'Join Us' button to express your interest in volunteering in The Gambia with AACEPT.

We know that the impact of Covid-19 has affected all of our lives, so we thank you all for the ongoing financial support that enables us to continue to help educate so many children and give them hope for the future.
Since July 10th, the President of The Gambia announced a state of emergency and imposed a countrywide lockdown which was extended by 21 days on August 27th. As a result schools, shops, hotels, airspace, bars and restaurants remain closed which has devastated the already meagre economy in The Gambia. Now more than ever families will need our support to keep their children in education when schools reopen. If you can help please click the button below.
